Golf Australia Events Statement

GA event calendar: golf.org.au/events

With announcements made recently by the various State Governments, Golf Australia is pleased to announce that our events will recommence from 1 July.

We look forward to scheduling event opportunities for every level of golfer to enhance their experiences and engagement in the sport, and to showcase the game.

We are excited to have events commence however we must be vigilant in ensuring our events adhere to government advice and remain a safe and healthy environment for competitors, and the host club and GA staff.

GA will operate at each event a series of measures which ensure all requirements of the specific state government are adhered to. It is likely these measures will change from time to time as state government requirements evolve. These measures may include matters regarding practice arrangements, event catering, and presentations; limitations on carts, caddies and spectators; and differing draw formats.

Social distancing will need to be maintained at all times, including:

    1. keep 1.5 metres away from others wherever possible;

    2. refrain from any contact after the round with your playing partners (shaking hands, bumping elbows, hugging, kissing, etc); and

    3. practice good hand, sneeze and cough hygiene

GA reminds players that if you are unwell, please stay at home. Additionally, if you are in an at-risk category, consider whether contesting an event is necessary.

We also STRONGLY encourage players to download the COVID Safe mobile app.

As restrictions are eased, the above processes will be modified based on the restrictions in place at the time of the event.

The GA website also outlines the Return to Play processes in each state: https://www.golf.org.au/plans-for-the-return-of-play/

We warmly welcome everyone back to GA events.
