Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<table width=\"100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p><strong>Grant Opportunity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sport Australia (previously the Australian Sports Commission) has released the <em>Community Sport Infrastructure Grant Program<\/em> which will fund from a budget of $29.7 million, minor capital projects of a small to medium scale, particularly with improvements to existing sport infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>The program aims to ensure more Australians have access to quality sport infrastructure, encouraging <strong>greater community participation in sport and physical activity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Three grant streams are available:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stream 1: up to $50,000<\/li>\n<li>Stream 2: $50,001 to $200,000<\/li>\n<li>Stream 3: $200,001 to $500,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>We strongly encourage all clubs and facilities to consider applying.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Information:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applications close: <strong>14 September 2018<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Notification of successful applications: <strong>1 November 2018 onwards<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Expected completion date of projects: <strong>30 June 2019<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The grant has two guiding themes:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Community Sporting Hubs<\/strong> \u2013 the use of infrastructure by new and diverse community groups to extend beyond those just participating in the sport by positioning the facility as the new \u2018town hall\u2019<\/li>\n<li><strong>Inclusion<\/strong> \u2013 innovative upgrades that offer welcoming, inclusive and accessible participation opportunities for all members of the community including women and girls, multi-cultural communities and people of all abilities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>The application can support one or both themes or propose an additional innovation to increase participation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applications will be assessed against three selection criteria:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> Community Participation <strong>2.<\/strong> Community Need <strong>3.<\/strong> Project Design and Delivery<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Co-contributions (including in-kind) will be considered favourably and scored higher where co-contributions exist for projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>An application can be made with identified partners to increase the capacity to deliver the project<\/li>\n<li>The development of a national clubs and facilities future planning strategy is a strategic priority for Golf Australia within its 2018-2021 Strategic Plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Examples of eligible projects may include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Upgrades to playing surfaces, including multi-sport upgrades and resurfacing that supports increased use<\/li>\n<li>Building, expanding and\/or upgrading change rooms, particularly for girls and women and officials\u2019 areas<\/li>\n<li>External entry\/exit accessible amenities<\/li>\n<li>Improved sports lighting and safety lighting, including installation of solar panels<\/li>\n<li>Improvements to ground and court capacity that support increased use<\/li>\n<li>Improvements to spectator amenities<\/li>\n<li>Internal\/external amenity uplift.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u><a
